First day of presentation! WOOT! WOOT! Kosey and Quinn went up to the front of the class to display the podcasts they found and explain them as a text. Quinn took on the topic of climate change with an animated Ted Talk as her text while Kosey used the subject of Adnan Syed with the Serial podcast while also showing a parody from SNL that was of the same style but of a different subject matter. Next we listened to some podcasts of the other students on the Bedford Book of Genres, Chapter 2 and we left comments on other posts responding to their work. For an important future message remember in your podcasts AVOID GENERALITIES AT ALL COST!! Next we wrote down 3 things down on a note card describing a personal narrative and shared them with one another. We made a list of what a personal narrative is from everyone in the class to properly explain what's being looked for in a proper personal narrative. Lastly, we discussed the homework which is reading a personal narrative and writing 3 things you noticed for homework... and remember to WRITE IN SCENES!!
